I just looked at a 5' finishing mower with the Massey Ferguson name on it.It is a very well built unit at a fair price,$1500. Does anyone know who makes it for Ferguson? I've not seen another one quite like it.

I have a 6' Massey finishing mower that is about 10 years old. It was made by Taylorway of Athens TN. We have used and abused this mowerand never replaced anything but belts. The warranty card that came with themower was supposed to be mailed directly to Taylorway, and not to MasseyFerguson. ....

Take a look at the sovema mowers I think they are the same. Try www.easternfarmmachinery.com their pricing seems to be less then what you said. ....

i bought a 6 ft woods finish mower abuot 5 years ago and it is about 20 years old now. i paid 300 for it have replaced 2 of the three spindles and one belt however i mow 2 acres of lawn and misc brush hogging in the other areas on my land. i think 1500 is alittle high for this unit . woods is easy to fix and easy to get parts for ....
